History:
The founders of Phoenix are the Rodriguez-Villa, an entrepreneurial family of Spanish origin, with extensive experience in international business, biotechnology and agriculture. Their activities have created over 4,000 jobs in different sectors. They have experience holding positions of leadership in agrobiotech companies for the last decades, as well as in relevant assocation, being int he Board of ASEBIO (Spanish Association of Enterprises), BioVegen (Plant Biotech Platform in Spain), WAF (the World Agriculture Forum) and EBIC (European Biostimulants Industry Council).
They established the company AlgaEnergy in 2007, which became a global leader in microalgae biotech serving microalgae-based solutions to over 5 million farmers around the world, until its acquisition and integration into an industrial group. The Rodriguez-Villa family led the first microalgae company in the world that pivoted from other verticals to focus on agriculture, over 15 years ago. Phoenix Biosolutions is their newest business vehicle to, together with a strong team of seasoned and like-minded professionals, accelerate the introduction of microalgae into the agricultural sector, leveraging their vast experience, global network and resources.
